A North Phoenix front yard that stopped drinking

A North Phoenix front yard, reworked so it looks green all year without a sprinkler running.

We installed artificial lawn as the centrepiece, built a low sitting wall to hold the grade and give the frontage some structure, and planted around it with trees and desert plants chosen to thrive in the heat rather than merely survive it.

The Arizona landscape is harsh on planting, so we design with that first. The result is a front yard that keeps its colour in July and asks for very little in return.
